Are Circuit Breakers fuses?

Circuit breakers are different than fuses as a fuse only operates once and then has to be replaced. Circuit breakers can be reset manually or automatically in order to resume normal operation. Circuit breakers vary in size when compared to the application they are used for. Circuit breakers range from small devices which protect an individual household appliance such as a food processor to large switchgears designed to protect high voltage circuits on a city electrical grid.
